  • Chaos Cosmos resource link loss

    HI,

I opened a scene made a month ago and I no longer have connections to Cosmos resources. I tried to relink but it doesn't work. Is there a solution in these cases?

Currently the team is discussing the topic. Meanwhile, there is a way to relink the assets.
I will write down the steps and attach a video at the end:
    1. Go to V-Ray > Chaos Cosmos > Download Cosmos Assets ( This will not relink the assets but will download them on your computer) The files will be at: Windows: C:\Users\[User]\Documents\Chaos Cosmos\ :https://docs.chaos.com/display/COSMO...osmos/Packages
    2. Open Windows > Project Asset Inspector
    3. Click CTRL + A to select all the assets
    4. Go to Asset > Relink Assets and set the Chaos Cosmos > 3D Models folder
This will relink the assets that are located in this folder.

Hello visualtracing__ Thank you for contacting us!

Is it correct to understand that this only happens on this specific scene? If yes, please share it with us so we can investigate further. You can do that here or by Submitting a request to our system: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Additionally, it would be great if you could share with us you Cinema and V-Ray ( V-Ray > Help > About ) versions as well as updating your Cosmos to the latest version (... > About > Update Now )

Finally, you could try rebooting the Cosmos Browser by Stop-Starting it. Once rebooted, try relinking the files again.

        Hi, Viktor

thank you for your support, I'll send you the simplified scene via your link and below all the information regarding my configuration.
I have done the procedures described but the problem is not resolved.
It also happened to me in the past with another scene but I don't remember
        My setting: Cinema 4d 2024.2.0
