One thing that kills me working in cinema is how you can only generate proxy objects one at a time which is different to Max.
Max has the "Export each node to separate file" so you can output a bunch at once. But also pivots are "relative to object" instead of world(cinema). These two things not being in Cinema really makes generating proxy in cinema cumbersome. I resort to making proxy in max, saving out a vrscene then opening that in cinema. I even got made fun of by a Chaos dev for this workflow but is a pretty major shortcoming. In cinema you have to copy/paste the name of the object, make sure its at 0,0,0, navigate to the proxy folder - for every single proxy object.
Is it because Cinema doesn't have a native save dialogue? Is this something we can put out of our minds because it will never happen?
this is the Corona dialogue but is basically the same:
