  • Studio white background

Good afternoon, I need to make images where the background is 100% white, or better yet, I needed to make a render with a mask on the door so I could work on the background for a catalog, in my studio I don't know how to do it, I bought the videos from Gumroad ("The Ultimate Introduction to V-Ray 6 For Cinema 4d") and I've seen videos but I don't understand how to isolate the door in the rendering. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

Hello craveiro There are couple of things you could do to achieve these. I will show you two of those methods.

In order to get a 100% white background there are two steps to be followed:
    1. Set the light to be Invisible
    2. Go to VFB > Layers > Create Layer > Background, add a Background Layer, enable the Color checker box and choose a color of your liking.

For this test I have chosen blue so it can be better seen, however, you can use 100% white. Please, find the attached picture below useful:

For the second goal of masking the geometry I would recommend using the Cryptomatte Render Element. You will not only be able to pick the mask of the geometry you want but imported into Nuke or Fusion ( or another Multichannel EXR reading software ) you will be able to select geometry via their names.

Please, be aware that for the Cryptomatte to work as expected you need a Multichannel EXR ( Render Settings > V-Ray > Common > Format > Type and select Multichannel )

You can read more about the Render Elements here: https://docs.chaos.com/display/VC4D/Render+Elements

Here is another quick and easy solution, add cryptomatte RE, add constant layer in VFB with normal blending, select the element via cryptomatte.
