  • V-Ray output system: how to save multipass element in one layered file?

Hello, i would like to use V-Ray output system to save my render and drop C4D regular image saving. So i will have access some more VFB effects and render elements.
I render only in 8bits. I was used my main render with alpha to be saved to TIF and all the render elements saved as a layered PSD file.
Now in V-Ray output system, PSD is not in the output formats list, and i can not find a file format to save all the render elements in one single layered file.

Did i miss some options to do this?

Hi f2b You could use the .EXR file format to save all the layers and Render Elements in one single file. You can do that through the VFB > File > Save all Image Channels to a Single File.

On the other hand, you can still use the .PSD file format

    1. Go to the Render Settings > Save > Multi-Pass Image. Choose .PSD File format from the Format drop-down menu and then set the File Path.

    2. I assume you use Photoshop for the post-production. The exported .PSD file works as expected with it.
