  • VRay7

Two months have passed and I am still waiting for the release of vray7 for c4d. Compared to vray6 for c4d, it seems that we need to wait longer this time?

Hi bibin_thomas, as it was mentioned in other posts, the release of different V-Ray integrations takes different time. I can assure you that the team is committed to the task and it will be released soon.

Thank you for your patience so far, and I hope waiting just a little bit more will not be a problem.

My bill from Chaos came today and it's difficult to swallow an $84 monthly bill for the last two and a half months knowing full well that we have a worse, more dated implementation than Max. That makes Vray for Cinema the absolute worst deal in rendering. VRay is already the most expensive option by a lot and now for Cinema users it's also dated.

Octane/redshift/Arnold/corona/vray, I have used these renderers in Cinema, I prefer vray, simply because vray is the renderer that supports CPU and has the fastest response speed among these choices (only in complex projects) However, the compatibility of vray is not very high, so it requires a long period of optimization. This is similar to the Chaos Group’s support for vray for The emphasis on cinema also has something to do with it. It is impossible for all DCC programs to be equally important. It can also be said that Chaos does not attach much importance to dynamic graphics, and it still revolves around the construction industry.

Another excample is Axyz Anima, I contacted support as I couldn't install it for Cinema 2025, as I am in the middle of a bigger project.
I have the feeling it doesn't support 2025. I mean Cinema 2025 is not new... I really love Vray, but you must admit, Chaos and Cinema is not the best match...

BTW: Anima All license is not cheap...

              Hi haniel1107

Thanks for sharing your feedback about Anima.

I just want to reiterate the words shared by my colleague Deyan: "Different developments take different times to complete". This is true for V-Ray, Anima, and any other product. In the case of V-Ray 7 for Cinema4D, the release date has finally arrived.

The case of Anima is a bit more complex because it is an application that includes support for multiple DCC apps in the same installer so, whenever possible, we try to adapt our new releases to include support for all the new versions of the DCC applications supported. For example, in the latest version cycle of Anima we included support for the new releases for 3dsMax 2025, Maya 2025, and Unreal Engine 5.4. Unfortunately, the new version for Cinema4D 2025 was released a month after that, so we could not include support for it in Anima at that moment.

Now, we are in the last development stage for a new update that will include support for Cinema 4D 2025 and Unreal Engine 5.5, and I can assure you that we are committed to releasing it as soon as possible.

                Hi albert_alomar , thanks.

Yes, Vray7 is out and I am happy to try it out. Couldn't try out everything, but I am sure it will be a great experience.. Thank you for this!

Regarding Anima I understand your view, but Cinema 2025 is already long time out and I was a suprised that I couldn't install it, in the middle of my project. I am using anima only from time to time, but since long now. This never happened... that a version was not available.

Anyway, it is as it is.. crossing fingers cinema releases will come earlier... vray or anima or anything... and from customer perspective... cinema user pay the same like max user

Nevertheless.... a big thank you for Vray7.

Hello albert_alomar, I like to ask, if there are news regarding an Anima Version for C4D R2025. I really could use it in my project.. Is there a way to get a beta, or is a release date fix? Thanks!

                    Hi haniel1107

No news yet, but there should be very soon
In the testing phase I mentioned in my previous message, everything went fine for C4D 2025, but we found some problems with the plugin for UE 5.5 that delayed the release.
We have finished fixing those issues, so we will move back to the testing phase. If nothing unexpected happens, the new update should be released in a couple of weeks (at most).

Thanks albert_alomar, but a couple of weeks sounds honestly bad. My project should be finished then. Isn't it possible to get a beta or a c4d Pre-Version?

                        Hi haniel1107

I can understand your request, but keep in mind that the different stages we go through with our new releases are there for a good reason. Rushed launches cause more problems, lower the overall quality of the product and negatively impact the user experience.
That said, I'll make sure to send you a notification on this forum thread when the release is ready.

Thanks in advance for you patience and understanding.
