Materials problem

Hi. When adding a Vray material is doesn't seem to load and just crashes Cinema 4D. When I go into the C4D preferences/renderer/Vray/Materials and untick enable under previews it works fine. Is there some how to fix this so the material previews work?

Can you share a fresh crash dump from one of the latest crashes? Also, please do share more information regarding the exact V-Ray/Cinema 4D versions, as well as OS, CPU, GPU, GPU driver versions. Thanks!

Hi, I'm experiencing the exact same problem. I start with a empty scene, as soon as I add a standard material C4d stops working. It's basically not possible to use VRay 5. Any hints/ideas welcome!?

R23, VRay 5 (vray_adv_50041_c4dr23_x64), Win10, Intel(R) Xeon(R) Silver 4114 CPU @ 2.2GHz, 2x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti - Driver version: 27.21.14.5638.

I had the same problem with vray_adv_50042_c4dr23_x64.

When I click the V-ray VFB I get the following error. Could not obtain V-ray UI license: No license for this product error. It was all working fine until about a week ago.

I'm using V-ray 5 / Cinema 4D R20 / Windows 10

I had an email saying that As part of the Free Migration Program, your complimentary V-Ray for Cinema 4D licenses were due to expire with the release of the next major version.

Today, we released V-Ray 5 for Cinema 4D. To give you more time to explore your options, we’ve decided to extend the validity of your licenses until January 13, 2021.

Is it worth me trying to do a free trial or will I have the same problem? I really need to test V-ray first before purchasing. Many thanks.

Thanks, I messaged them a few days ago but still waiting to hear back. I thought maybe they have broken up for Christmas holiday. I'll wait to hear back. I don't suppose you know if they could cancel the migration license and I can then sign up to a free trial? I just need to be able t use it asap for my work.

I have a similar problem, since updating to vray_adv_50042 c4d becomes very slow when loading a material, and I get "Could not obtain V-Ray UI license: No license for this product error." when opening VFB. My license is due to the 13/01/2021.

If many people is getting licence error it's not a single licence isolated issue. Can you advice how to proceed? Thanks
