  • Missing Environment Overrides multipliers

    Hi,

I can't find the Environment Overrides multiplier/brightness setting for a color or a shader.

Just started a project in V5 and I'm stuck:

Same goes for the material Self-illumination slot - the multiplier strength is essential:
(The only thing that comes into my mind is to use c4d filters or plain color - but that's a horrible workaround)

Having a multiplier for the self illumination may be useful for some stuff but in the end if you want to increase the luminosity significantly it will be better to use a light material. I think the main purpose of the self illumination slot is for things that do not shine that much, and by activating the compensate the camera exposure option you should have already very bright material, if you want something that produce much more light then your best option is the light material as said

      Thanks Sirio,

But we still have the missing env tab multiplier - that's like crucial.

Setting up background, reflection and refraction intensities is like a base for my studio renderings. For now, Vray 5 still does not allow me to use it properly.

Also - where's the simple exposure or gain option for hdri's?

Many times I don't want extra light calculations and the compensate option in a material. Just adding some studio reflections with gradients. Using lights for that is not fun.
Vray Light material can't be a full material, where you only lit a portion of the object via shader. But that's another topic.

Bumping this up - why there's no reply to this?

Gi, reflection, refraction - need those multipliers.
