Didn't they promise they will release it? Is there a conflict of interest with 3D Render and Beyond planning to sell Vray materials?

First of all, I can guarantee that there’s no conflict whatsoever
I can’t see how you come to this conclusion since there are many developers that sells shaders/assets for Vray for Cinema4D, we are just one of many and we have no privileged relationship with CG.
On Max there are even more companies who sells shaders but that doesn’t stop Chaosgroup to include an official material library... the two things are not related at all. It is funny though, a few users already suggested that they should entrust us to build an official library for Vray5 for Cinema4d.
I read this forum daily and as far as I can tell CG never promised a material library for this first release, the fact that random people keep asking for that doesn’t mean that this will come anytime soon. I think they have a plan to add that in the future but to be honest there are tons of stuff more important to do before

Hi Haniel, we also convert allour mat & texture sets with v5 presets in februar,all forthcoming start with v5 right out of the box (see "3dtools.info").
from what i see there will be soon several material sets around that are available for v5 c4d users,you have the choice

I have already all your packs for 3.7 (metals and concretes) and I am very happy with them, I will update them, too
same for sirios packs, have the 3.7 packs, too
I think it is good invested money and sometimes a time saver...
