  • Displacement (geometry tag) on multiple objects

I have 1 object with a displacement texture in a geometry tag. This renders fine (see photo 1)
If I add a second object with a different displacement texture in the geometry tag, the rendered first object gets the displacement map from object 2. (as in photo 2)

Is there a way to get different displacements on different objects? Now I can use only one.

    I use Vray 5 and Cinema 4D R23 on a Windows 10 PC.

Now, I know why it looked sometimes so strange... when playing around
So, same here... worked only, when I switched on the subdivision on only one Tag

I switched the subdivision on in only one tag and now the displacement is correct. For now it's a workaround for this weird bug.
Now I can try this in the project I'm working on. Thank you.

Hi, this is a bug on our side, that may happen if two objects have exactly the same underlying geometry (which happens when you clone an object). I have logged it for fixing and it may soon be fixed in stable nightly builds.
