  • symmetry object

Hi, I found a strange behavior and was searching for hours (!). It seems the symmetry object just mirrors 1 object of the hierachy.
See the example attached. In the editor you see 3 cubes mirrored. But in the rendered image there is just 1 cube mirrored.

My workaround is either use an instance (instead of symmetry) and scale it by -1 OR use the connect object to combine the different objects together before using symmetry.

I have now many workarounds for different issues of vray5 and I wonder how much wasted time I'm spending in these workarounds..

    Hello klex167 ,

Upon testing on my end I wasn't able to reproduce the same issue. Everything was rendered as expected. Please check it here.

Please let me know what is the exact version of Cinema4D and V-Ray that you are using.

Hi klex167, this issue seems to be present only for objects with the exact same name and reproducible only in interactive or active view rendering. We will investigate what might be the cause of this.
