  • MultiSubTex and Clones - texture is changing between frames

    Hi, I have a scene with nearly thousand people (mograph renderinstances). I assigned a material with MultiSubTex (Random by render ID) to randomise the texture. It is working well, but if I change the frame, the texture is also changing. It seems like the render ID is changing every frame. Does anybody know a setting to make this work properly?

    Hi Tobi,

    I was able to recreate this in a simple scene, One thing i found is that when the mode is set to "Instance" on the mograph cloner that it keeps the same materials. However, using "Render Instance" or Multi Instance" causes the colors to change between frames.

    Not sure why this is the case, but maybe it is helpful is finding a solution.

      Cool, I didn't found that out. But if you need render instances with thousands of clones, the problem remains. Hopefully CG finds a solution for the next update.
