    I am not sure which one of the items does it, there's an issue with Cel Shader, you'll notice a warning about # of polygon faces on Sphere is greater than Cel Baked shader, the number is always greater by 1.

    Also I'll post another version of this project with a separate Cell shader issue, causing Distributed Rendered to quit w/out error, and C4D crashing as well.

    Thank you for your report. Upon checking your scene I managed to reproduce this issue. I have now reported this to our developers (bug ID: VC4D-1042) and I will let you know once we have more information.
