  • Why arent some V-Ray lights showing up in this rendering?

Hey all. Ok so this is crazy frustrating. I am trying to make a sort of wave animation. I made a material with self illumination and I added a circular gradient in the opacity map. I want to offset the position of the gradient to give it a pulsing animation. The material appears correct in the material maker. the gradient is showing up in the viewport and moving with the offset. Why isn't it rendering? There is another self emissive light that is working just fine. Even if I create a "light material" and add it to the geometry, it wont render. now I am seeing that if I play around with the mapping, the material will either turn off completely or fully illuminate. You can see how the gradient shows up fine in the C4D viewport, but the rendering is just now working. Thank you

    Hello akashi1,

You can check this video for my example setup where I use a simple circular gradient which I animated to drive the opacity of the material. If you want to use an image sequence for that, make sure to set the frame range in the animation tab of the image loader. I hope this is of help.
