  • can´t save image out of the vray buffer window

Hi guys, I have a question. I can no longer save a file from the Vray buffer window and get an error message in the log ... see attached file.
Windows 10 updated today. Can that be because of that?

I was able to reproduce the bug. When using a third monitor for the Vray buffer window, it is first necessary to decouple the window again and then the memory menu can no longer be activated! So that you can no longer save the rendered file. If you use only two displays everthing work fine.

      Hello ralf_kunstmann,

I apologize for the delayed reply.

Could you let me know what are the resolutions and scales of all of your monitors? Is there an issue with the UI which prevents you from accessing the Save options? If yes, please send us a screenshot of the VFB. Could you also try to reinstall V-Ray and see if that helps? Thank you.

Hi Aleksandar, I've now switched to R24 and have therefore reinstalled Vray. But the problem is the same. When Vray has finished rendering the file, I can go to the menu to save the file, but the window doesn't open! So it is not possible to save the file on the hard disk. I attached some screenshots. I hope it can help to solve the problem. Best regards Ralf

            Hello ralf_kunstmann,

Thank you for providing those details. This is a known issue, caused by the mixed DPI settings of your displays. It has already been reported (bug ID: VC4D-1116) and discussed here and I will let you know once we have updates on the matter.

If you open Cinema4D on the same display, this shouldn't happen. Alternatively, once you move the VFB window to your other monitor, you can use the additional menu at the top left corner and "undock" the window.

                Hello ralf_kunstmann,

Our developers fixed the issue with the Save dialog when the VFB is used on displays with different DPI settings and the fix is available in our latest table build here:

                https://nightlies.chaosgroup.com/mai...table/20211013

Can you download and install the build and let me know if that fixes the issue for you? Thanks.

Hello Aleksandar, I tested it and it seem to work. But what I miss is the textline on the bottom of the window. The line appears only when I move the wiindow on the main display. Regards Ralf

                      Hello ralf_kunstmann,

There are still some known issues (bug ID: VC4D-1086) with the VFB when used on displays with different DPI settings. I will let you know once this is fixed.

The issue that I was referring to above was in regards to the Save and Open dialogs in the VFB which was fixed. I will update this thread once we have more information on the other issue. Thank you.
