  • Fur flies and is not in the right position

Hi all, is this a bug or have I forgotten some setting? The hairs from the carpet fly as seen in the picture above the base of the carpet, can someone help me ? how I bring the two things together ? Thanks a lot

The fur has to be the SAME coordinates as the object (carpet). And sometimes I have trouble if a parent object of the fur has different coordinates so the fur flies away again.
So best is to have both in the uppest level and set to 0/0/0.

Very inconvenient .. would be great to get a fix of that.

          Hello klex167,

This is expected behavior, as sometimes you might need to adjust the position of the V-Ray Fur slightly.

The position of the fur needs to be 0/0/0 in world space to be properly aligned with the object. If you want to place the V-Ray Fur object inside a null object, the fur needs to have the same coordinates as the null.

You can easily align the V-Ray Fur with the Null object (once the fur is a child of the null) by selecting the fur, right-clicking in the viewport, and resetting the transform. Please check this video.

I hope this is of help.
