  • Use of Camera Calibrator in Vray 5

    Hi All,

I'm trying to set up a camera calibrator image file for render with Vray5. I've got the point where it looks great in the viewer, I've set up the render output size and looked to view in Vray...and the calibrator image is a completely different zoom/crop to the one I'm seeing in the viewport. Is this something that needs setting up differently in Vray now, or is this a bug?

    Thanks, Mark

As a quick update, it appears that the dome light (and textures placed within) overrides the calibrator background object (which is why I'm seeing a zoomed in version). I've added a 'hide camera' object tag to the dome light and I think that I've solved it.

      Hello markTAVF,

I am happy to hear that you managed to resolve the issue.

If you don't want to see the dome light texture in your render but you still want it to affect the lighting you can also enable the "Invisible" option in the Options tab of the dome light.
