  • 2D Displacement issue

    Hi there,
the 2d displacement as a uw mapping gives me some wired geometry problem both cpu and gpu, almost like a phong tag error.
Keep Continuity and tight bounds causes the geometry problem, turned of i get open edges. Any ideas?

The 2D displacement mode is more suitable for other situations, usually when you have that kind of geometry is better to use the 3D mode.

I agree, normal displacement works totally fine but saving some ram with 2d displ would be nice if it gets to much larger scenes with plenty of houses.

Additionally since there are no displacement materials any more, any way to store geometry tags in a .lib4d file? Otherwise you have to recreate the tags everytime.

For my .lib file I store a scene that includes both the shader and a null object with the geometry tag. Then I drag and drop the scene inside the object manager.
