  • Interactive and Producton render matching issue

    Good morning,
time ago I had this issue with Production and Interactive rendering not matching , i was told to use Brute force as a GI engine as it was a limitation of V-ray .
    Below the answer given

    (Hi marco_zanella ,
the reason why you have different results between Interactive rendering and Production rendering is because Interactive rendering doesn't work when you have Light cache selected as a GI engine (this is a limitation in all V-Ray integrations excluding V-Ray for 3Ds Max). So every time when you start Interactive and you have the GI engine set to Light Cache V-Ray automatically sets the GI engine to Brute Force internally. If you want to have similar renderings between Production and interactive please set the GI engine to Brute Force and try again. We print a warning for this and many other limitations, but we don't want to pop up the console window for every warning but only for errors.).

Today just for curiosity I tried and with my surprise I had the same result between Interactive and Production.

Does this mean the issue is resolved now ?

    Thank you so much

    MZ

      Hello marco_zanella,

This is still a limitation in V-Ray 5 for Cinema4D and if you want to have similar results between the Interactive rendering and the Production rendering you should set the GI engine to Brute force.

I’ll add that beside the GI, the different look may also come from the limited ray depth of the IPR.

Thank you Sirio76 for the clarification
so if we want to use Interactive rendering we can just use Brute force as Gi...
