  • Sphere Doesn't render if render perfect is on

For some reason during interactive rendering the a basic sphere primitive with render perfect switched on renders fine, but when i switch to production rendering (eighter progressive or bucket) the sphere doesn't render. I tested all the sphere types, and strangely the hemisphere renders (but with this type the render perfect switch is disabled). If I turn the render perfect switch off it renders fine. This render perfect is also an issue when the sphere is in a cloner. If there is a deformer added to the sphere it also renders fine.

The render perfect feature is really useful for high element count mograph setups with "particle-like" geometries, while it still keeps the polycount low and the vieport useable.

    Hello akos_kiss,

Currently, the "render perfect" option for the Cinema4D sphere is not supported. This is on our to-do list (request ID: VC4D-619) and will be implemented in the future. This has already been discussed here, where Ivan Shaykov explains why this currently doesn't work.

I will let you know once we have updates on the matter. Thanks.

Oh, I apologize for that. I will quote the message below.

Hi, currently V-Ray can only render objects that are procedural (like the Perfect Sphere or the Infinite Floor). Unchecking the "Render perfect" option is the same as making the object editable which is the reason why it works.
