  • Material_Node_UDIM TEXTURE ?

    hi everybody.
    last week i worked on a personnal project, and in this project i has to texture an object in SUBSTANCE PAINTER. i used UDIM texture to do it. but now i dont know how to set the UDIM texture in VRAY material node.

    CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE

    i'm from blender so it's my first try

    Hello zeben_zebehi,

    Currently, V-Ray for Cinema4D doesn't have support for UDIM. This is on our to-do list (request ID: VC4D-404) and will be implemented in the future. I will let you know once we have any updates on the matter.

        +1 bump!
        Substance Painter is now the industry standard.
        <UDIM> <UVTILE> tag support is a matter of life and death. Please support us with the highest priority.

        We are also looking forward to supporting user-defined property tags in V-Ray CINEMA 4D.

          Adding support for UDIM and UVTILE is on our to-do list. However, I cannot provide any specific timeframes for when this will be implemented. I will let you know as soon as we have more information. Thank you.

            Hi,

            I don't know if this helps, but if you're struggling at the moment, you can always export the tiles from painter and import each to a separate V-Ray material. I don't use nodes, so that may be the issue you're facing?
            It's a work around I'm doing at the moment, but doesn't offer everything you may need.
            I also UV my models in RizomUV, which works really well with Udims too, don't think C4d offers that option yet?

              I'm confused because it's working for me. I can create a VrayBitmap and set
              HTML Code:
              my_texture_file_<UDIM>.jpg
              This is correctly handling the UDIM in C4D.
