  • constantly crash scene after update

    Hi there
last week we deliver a project with several images...
all went well and we close the project.
After that we receive the confirmation to make a update on V-ray to 5.20.02
Monday the client request us to make some changes after we (just add a diferent light and nothing else was change)
and now, every time i hit render and after some passes, it crashes ... this happens on Bucket mode; progressive mode
because it was a heavy project we decided to split and delete what was not used and nothing... after some random passes it crashes... somtimes goes to 120 passes (in progressive) and for example now it goes only to 28 passes

we have already downgrade but i think it becomes more unstable...
here it goes some info and if you want we can share this scene

really appreciate if this could be solve because we need to deliver the changes
    thanks in advance
    nuno

      Hey Nuno,
Could you please share the scene with us so we can check it out? You can send me a direct message with a if the scene needs to remain private. The bugreport usually helps but takes more time to determine the issue while by having a scene and it reproduces we can quickly identify and fix the issue as soon as possible.
V-Ray 5.20.02 that we released officially yesterday already fixes a crash that we introduced when a scene is opened, so if you didn't please try updating and let us know if it helps.

Thank you for the feedback and sorry for the incontinence.

          Hey nunomatos .
I've rendered the scene a couple of times this weekend on a few different machines and unfortunately I was unable to crash it. I'll continue my tests here and it will be very helpful if you can share more info about your hardware, operating system and plugins that you use with Cinema 4D.
          Thank you!

in any case the plugin that we are getting more issues regarding compatibility is Surface Spread from Laubwerk... In this project we didnt use any other specific plugin

              Hey nunomatos ,
Yesterday we've released a new version with fixes. Could you please check if you're still getting the crashes on your end whenever you have time?
Also, huge thank you for the scene, since it was a gold mine for bugs that we've caught.

i have some old 3.7 files i cant open with vray 52002 and 52003 but i works with 52001. so perhaps you can test this, if it has to work fast...
i also noticed some instability with the HDRI preview script, so perhaps it helps if you delete this from your scene, if you using it
