  • Cloud Render Issues

    Hi

I have two issues rendering in the cloud from c4d:

    1) I added a physical camera to the scene. On upload to cloud, I get warned there are 2 cameras and am prompted to pick one, which I do - my physical camera, but the scene renders using the default camera. The VFB render in C4D is correct.

    2) I chose TIF as output format in C4D, but in the cloud, it only gives me jpg/EXR. How do I change this?

I posed this original on the Cloud section on the forums, but they are not as responsive as you guys here

    Thank you

    Hey, Pali,

    Glad to see you here.

"1) I added a physical camera to the scene. On upload to cloud, I get warned there are 2 cameras and am prompted to pick one, which I do - my physical camera, but the scene renders using the default camera. The VFB render in C4D is correct."
Could please try the latest builds from here? https://nightlies.chaos.com/main#/vr...table/20220321
The issue with cameras was fixed and added to a stable build. If you don't have permission please ask the support to grand access.

"2) I chose TIF as output format in C4D, but in the cloud, it only gives me jpg/EXR. How do I change this?"
Change the file format from Render Settings -> V-Ray -> Common - Use V-Ray Output System. But highly recommend using EXR because of some limitations on the cloud.
    • When submitting a render job requesting TIFF and/or TGA images as a result. The results might be unexpected as not all TIFF and TGA settings are exported to Chaos Cloud.

      Hey Boyan!

Great to still be using VRay! C4D is great too Thanks for the answers - I'll sort this out at my end.

      Thank you
