Hi!
I've been having an issue with a geometry tag. When rendering animations and using displacement, on random frames the displacement disappears and the frame renders as if there was no displacement applied.
This is a really big issue with animations, because there are sometimes hundreds of frames missing displacement, and every time i have to re-render those frames.
In my file i used a subdivision surface generator but this issue happens with cloners and extrude objects also. These cases are a bit more tricky as with extrude objects we want to keep the asset or model as parametric as possible, and some cases the materials and the geometry tag goes on a null object that groups a bunch of thing together.
EDIT: The displacement tag when used on animated objects is bit unreliable. Sometimes it renders fine but other times we have constant "flickering" (ie.: one frame renders the displacement fine, but on the next is doesn't render). We use cloud rendering and they have the same issues.
You can download the c4d file and an mp4 file from this link.
