Having a look at the scene would allow me to better advise you on what parameters you will need to change but reducing the noise threshold of the image sampler should do the job. If the grainy dots are still present, please send us the scene to have a look at. Thank you.
Thanks for the additional info. Even when testing with V-Ray GPU and round edges I was not able to reproduce those artifacts. Could you please share a test scene so I can have a look and report a bug if necessary? Thank you.
I had a look at your scene (and managed to reproduce the issue on a new test scene) and it seems that the issue is only caused when using metallic materials and having the Camera type (in the Overrides tab of the Render settings) set to Pinhole. Changing the camera type to Standard seems to resolve the issue.
I have reported this issue (bug ID: VC4D-1620) in our internal bug-tracking system and I will keep you updated on its progress.
