Hello,
I do a lot of packshots. Most often they are sanitary ceramics (washbasins, toilets, etc.). Now, I additionally got an order to make several packshots of glass doors from shower cabins. Earlier renderings with transparent (glass) elements on a white or transparent background were made in V-Ray 3.7. There was no problem with the alpha channel, separate for each object and additionally including shadow and transparency. There was an object ID, I was giving the ID of the object, everything was so easy.
How can I find a way to do this in V-Ray 5 for Cinema 4D? Any analogies? The method of proceeding? Tutorial? It's so obvious with packshot shots. Do I really have to go back to V-Ray 3.7 to complete an assignment for my client?
I found something like this for 3DS MAX:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yP7--sRyDn0
In the V-Ray 3.7 it was much easier. However, I have Cinema 4D R20 Studio, so I will not use nodes.
Please help. I want to render the image normally to the RGB channel and have separate Alpha channels for specific IDs of objects used in the scene, containing information about transparency and shadows. It is so obvious .... How to do it in V-Ray 5 for Cinema 4D R20 Studio? Maybe there is a tutorial somewhere?
Regards,
Christopher
