  • Cubic projection and Tile shader

Combining CINEMA 4D "Tile" shader (random colors) with Cubic projection gives different results than CINEMA 4D Render.

I would like to see the same result without using UV projection in V-Ray.

      Hi pardalis

please read my question. (and test scene)
The problem is that it doesn't match the result from C4D Render.

and also, Your test image has a completely unnatural repetition.

Hi flat, as stated in the documentation, the Tiles shader is currently supported only with baking. If you need to customize the way it is baked, you can use the VRayC4DBake shader to change the resolution or data type.

            Hi, Deyan

I still understand that currently there is no other solution than to use UV projection.
(Perhaps the solution is to implement an emulator of C4D's Tile Shader in V-Ray)

Surprisingly no problem with Chaos Corona!
(And surprisingly, even MAXON's Redshift has problems).
Looking forward to V-Ray's more robust C4D integration.
