  • Sphere with "Render Perfect" in a cloner not rendering

Happy new year, hope all is well!

Don't know if its known, but I can't render spheres with perfect render activated in a cloner.
Not that big drama, but took me a while

    Hey, hanniel1107,

Happy New Year and happy rendering to you too. Thank you for the report. I guess you're using GPU RTX with your scene. If that is the case, we have this problem reported in your system. if that is not the case, could you please provide us with more information and a scene? Cloner with a sphere will be enough.

    Cheers

Hello boyan, thanks for your reply.

No, I was using Vray CPU only.
      Using Win 11 / latest Vray6 Hotfix 2

VFB preview works, but rendering not.
I tried Instances and Multi-Instances, both the same.

      Please, try the attached scene...

      Thanks

        Hello haniel1107,

        Thank you for your scene.

The issue seems to happen because the sphere is a child of a null object. If the sphere is put directly inside the cloner the issue is no longer reproducible.

I have reported it to our developers for fixing (bug ID: VC4D-1667). I will let you know once we have updates on the matter. Thanks.

            Hey, haniel,

Thank you for the effort and scene file. Two workarounds of that problem, 1/ Add velocity render element into the initial scene file or enable the motion blur option part of camera settings. 2/ Change the cloner mode to Render instance or Multi-instance.

            Cheers,
