UV Randomizer - random by face

    Hi,
    simple question - should the uv randomizer set to randomize by face work on a simple converted plane? Like randomized rotation per polygon?

    Hello martin_hennrich

    The Random by Face mode considers the face IDs (from unique polygon selections) of the object when feeding the data (color or texture) to the material.

    In Cinema 4D the Polygon Selection Tags should be assigned manually. You can do that by going to Select > Store Selection and then picking the face/s you want.

    Please, refer to the attached image for visual representation.

        Thanks for the response. Is there any way to replace the former vray random selection tag with the uv randomizer?. Like random per polygon? I only see the possibility the seperate the floor mesh to individual meshes to use random by mesh element.

          Please note that I have added a request for implementing a "random per polygon" mode in the UVWRandomizer (request ID: VC4D-1750). Our team will have a discussion about that and I will let you know if we have more information on the matter. Thank you.
