  • Motion Blur Not Working

    Hi

I've got a rotor spinning - keyframes from frame 0 to frame 70 where it has rotated 1000 degrees. This works as expected in C4D as you scrub the timeline from 0 to 70, the blades revolve. Im rendering on the middle frame, 35.

The camera settings are for an exposure time of 1/2 second (VRay Physical Camera) and I have added a VRay Object Properties tag to the spinning items to override the mo blur samples to 8 for all.

In the final PRODUCTION render - there is no mo blur, nor in Chaos cloud.

Im not using any VRay overrides.

Please could someone let me know how I can get the mo blur working?

    Many thanks

    Hello pali_rao

Could you please send us the scene so we can investigate further? You could upload it through our support contact form if it is more convenient for you.

Just thought I'd post again here, as I have discovered something. My workflow is to import models from Modo via FBX into C4D and then set up VRay there.

It seems that in the export, the highest level NULL (locator in Modo) is causing Mo Blur to fail.

I can import the rotors (each within their own locator/NULL) and they work with mo blur fine, but if I include the top level NULL mo blur breaks for some reasons.

Not sure if this is a Modo, C4D or VRay fault.

Whilst Im using this workflow, Ill be mindful to check the NULL's when using Mo Blur
