Every now and then I've discovered some texture maps in my C4D Project Asset Inspector that I simply wasn't able to locate inside the respective V-Ray Material.
It was only until today that I realized that the "Reset to Default" and "Reset All" commands (Right click on Texture parameter / any parameter name > Reset to Default / Reset All) clear the texture slot but don't delete the maps from the asset list. Instead the two commands seem to only hide the maps internally - they still get exported with the scene and if you right click on the entry in the Project Asset Inspector and choose "Show Asset in Manager" you're directed to the former location of the map. The only way to get rid it now is to manually delete it in the Asset Inspector. This is irritating and can clutter your scene quite a bit...
Did I miss any recommendations concerning the use of texture assets or the C4D Project Asset Inspector in connection with V-Ray?
