  • User Integer does not recognize Vray_ObjectID

As the title states. I believe this broke in 6.1 as it was working.

However it does not work now, built alot of materials using that are all broken now. So that sucks.

seems the default value overrides the User Attribute. Same for all the user data nodes none of them seem to work at the moment.

Simple test would be to create a vray object properties on something, assign a Object ID that is not 0.....create a node material, add a User Integer node, set the User Attribute to Vray_ObjectID and it will display 0 or black in the preview.

    Hello seth_richardson

I tested your workflow by reproducing the steps you described. If you set the Default Value to 1 it will turn White: http://ftp.chaosgroup.com/support/sc...4_09-59-46.jpg

Please, let me know what you are trying to achieve.

Hi seth_richardson, please note that the user attributes show only the default value in the preview, because the preview rendering does not have the context of the scene, hence it does not have the actual user attribute value to be used. Using the value in any non-preview render should work as expected. See the example below:Click image for larger version
