  • Volume Grid difference in buckets on render nodes

I have some trouble with volume grid rendering differently on the buckets on two identical render nodes (ryzen machines). This is the latest update of V-Ray

    Hello torebernhoft

Could you please give us some information regarding your rendering process? Do you do DR?
Also, please give us the exact V-Ray build as well as the exact Cinema 4D version.
Does this reproduce in every scene or just this one?

      Hey viktor_angelov

Yes DR, and normally this is not a problem. I restarted the v-ray render servers on the nodes, and it worked again. My guess is that when I start and stop DR renders several times in a row (while fixing things), it sometimes glitch up and one node is lagging behind and they get out of sync somehow. But a restart fixed it. I have not had the problem after this, but now I'm careful to check the log in c4d when I stop a DR render that no error messages before starting them up again.

      V-Ray 6.20.01 from feb. 6 2024

Thank you for letting me know, torebernhoft This might have been a one-time thing. It would be great to keep track for the log and share it as well as the scene if it occurs ever again.
