V-Ray v6.20.03 for C4D 2024.4.1 - Material Override renders black

Material Override renders black. Have quit & relaunched, same issue, all files.

Hello d_s Thank you for reaching out to us. Could you please share the exact V-Ray for Cinema ( V-Ray > Help > About ) and Cinema 4D ( Help > About ) you are using?

Does this appear in every scene even new, simple ones or a specific scene?
Can you share with us a video recording so we can observe the situation?
If you could share with us a simple scene which you can reproduce the issue with that would be great.

As per the subject line, I was running V-Ray v6.20.03 for C4D 2024.4.1
but have just upgraded to C4D 2024.5.1 to see if that fixed it. Alas, issue not resolved.
I will try to make a video to share, meanwhile I note that if I add a dome light then the VFB image is lit, but only chaos cosmos assets are showing and they are rendered black. With no dome light (but other lights on such as rectangle or sphere), the VFB image is entirely black, as if there's not enough light.
With Material Override off, everything renders just fine.
I have not experienced this issue before.

Hello d_s Thank you for elaborating. I have logged it into our system [VC4D-2387] and it will be up for a resolution. Will make sure to announce it here once the matter has been resolved.
