Hello everyone,
I am experiencing an issue with V-Ray 7.00.00 (Build from January 22, 2025) in combination with Cinema 4D 2025.1.2 on MacOS 14.5. When I create a V-Ray Node Material and set V-Ray as the renderer, I am unable to edit the material in the Node Editor.Under "Node Space", I see the following message:
"There is no Node Space. Click Add to create a new Node Space."
The options available are:
V-Ray: Delete
Redshift: Add
Standard: Add
It seems like the V-Ray Node Space exists but is not functioning or initializing correctly. Even if I select "Delete" and try to re-add the Node Space, the issue persists.I have already tried the following steps:
- Ensuring that V-Ray is selected as the active renderer in the Render Settings.
- Restarting Cinema 4D after making changes to the Node Space.
- Verifying that all software versions are up to date (Cinema 4D 2025.1.2 and V-Ray 7 from January 22, 2025).
- Resetting Cinema 4D preferences by deleting the preferences folder.
Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue, and I am still unable to edit V-Ray Node Materials in the Node Editor.Has anyone encountered a similar issue or has any suggestions on how to fix this? Are there any known bugs or workarounds for these versions of Cinema 4D and V-Ray?
Thank you very much in advance for your help!
