  • Can't properly resize IPR window after upgrade to V-Ray 7

This might be due to something I've overlooked, but as soon as I upgraded to 7 I lost the ability to shrink the IPR window (or pane, when docked) to anything smaller than about half my monitor width. I used to be able to shrink it down to a usable size, but it now seems there's a minimum width that's being enforced. This seems broken, and I'm wondering if there's some new setting for this that I'm unaware of. I'd rather not have to run the IPR on a separate monitor, but that might actually be necessary since it hogs so much screen space. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi jeff_boyd Could you please share a screenshot of what your minimal IPR size looks like?

    This is on my side - both V-Ray 7 and V-Ray 6:

Hi viktor_angelov, here's a screenshot as requested. I'm unable to make the IPR pane more narrow than this, which was not an issue prior to upgrading to 7. Very frustrating, because I like to make it smaller when I need to focus on detailed modeling.
Any ideas on why this is suddenly impossible, at least for me?

Hi jeff_boyd, we changed / upgraded some of our UI frameworks under the hood for V-Ray 7 so it is possible there are some differences. Would you mind sharing if you use non-default Screen UI Scale (From the Windows settings -> System -> Display -> Scale and Layout) and exactly what value are you using?

Hi deyan.hadzhiev, thanks for looking into this. I do in fact have non-standard scaling settings (see attached). I'm currently using a 5K Apple Studio Display, and need to increase the scale quite a bit to make text large enough to read.
Please let me know if there's any additional information I can provide. Thank you!

Hi jeff_boyd, what you provided is sufficient. I have already identified the problem and the fix will be available once it passes thorough testing. Thanks for the cooperation.
