  • VFB preview issues

    Hi,

I have an issue that really boggles me, sometimes the result in VFB preview differs from one project to another. For example, when I copy the project to a new file and make the same display corrections the result is way to dark and with too much contrast. Seems like the LUT file isn't loaded correctly? Maybe some settings are cached somewhere?

I have reinstalled both Cinema and Vray with no result.

    Anyone have a clue?

Hi ruby_vandeursen Does thus happen with every scene or just one specific? Could you share it with me so I can check it.

What V-Ray and Cinema versions are you using?

      Hi Viktor,

It happens sometimes when I played around with HDRI's and sun settings. When copying a HDRI from another project back and forward it sometimes just appears. I use the latest versions, Cinema 2025 and Vray 7 v7.00.01 from jan 22 2025. I think it occurs when opening an older project and update it to the latest version. Seems like something gets stuck there but that's my best guess. I'll sent you a stripped version of the project including the LUT file. Thanks in advance for looking into it.

My guess is that the HDRI does not get connected right away when being copied and is not being rendered in the final image. Make sure they are connected into the Windows > Project Asset Inspector.

I would know better when I see the scene. You an upload it here or via a ticket: Submit a request

          Hi Viktor,

The issue is still occuring. I have made a few tests with scenes that I bought from 3DRnB, the museum scene and the scene from the tutorial. When loading these files they appear as number 1. I have done nothing to it. When toggling between Lookup Table on/off there is no difference. Most likely because the LUT file path is set to an unknown path. When relinking the LUT file they appear very dark and wrong as in number 2. I assume you have acces to these scenes as Stefano and Viola are part of your developing team. I can't seem to fix it!
