Hello,
I was wondering if there could be an option for calculating dim distance - but measuring not from the objects mesh, but from the camera position?
I have a great example now, where you have a long interior camera with rounded ceiling with reflection. The further we look, to more noisy and flickering the reflections become.
Right now, to render without noise, I have to switch off reflections for animation in this scene. With a dim, I could have the reflections where I want them, and avoid longer distance unnecessary render time and noise.
That would be a huge optimization help and option. Even for a global reflection dim distance it could save plenty of time - especially in animations.
Will appreciate an answer.
