  • multiply displacement amount with custom attribute

    In Houdini its pretty usual that you use your custom attributes to control stuff in different contexts. Here I want to control the displacement amount of the shader with a float attribute which is stored on the rendered geometry. Is that possible with vray ?

    You could try using "V-Ray User Color" to sample the attribute and mix it with the displacement texture.
