  • Flipbook animation // viewport visibility

    Hey Guys,

not directly related to Vray, but I guess we have a few pros who could help me out. I'd need to do a flipbook animation and have objects fade in and out.
I really do not want to comp it at this stage or render anything, we should be able to see basic camera and object movements. Is there any smart way to do it? I tried to Google it, but didn't find anything worth to mention.

Questions to devs: is it possible to add an opacity/transparency slider to the Viewport Shading tab if no texture is present? Not sure if it's technically possible (??)

    Any help appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Chris.

It is possible but I'd suggest checking the OpenGL properties under the Mantra tab of the Spare Parameters interface. There's a lot of good stuff there which you can use to build your own custom HDA and link the vray params.

There's also an OpenGL ROP to use instead of flipbooks.

Please ping me if any of that is unclear and I'll provide you with a hip file.

    Hope that helps.
