Udim houdini

Hi all.
I don't understand the explanation provided in the vray houdini docs. Lets say I have a texture from mudbox texture_u1_v1. What will it look like I the file path in my image node. Thanks

Try type texture<UVTILE>.jpg (whatever your texture format is)

But a file name can not contain those characters. It has allso my first guess.

Try using %(UDIM)d it'll be converted to <UDIM> tag internally.

Iam so sorry but I still dont get it. so it will be something like =$JOB/Desktop/texture

I find it s bit embarrassing that i cant figure it out myself. glad you can help

For Mari: texture%(UDIM)d.tif or texture<UDIM>.tif
For Mudbox: texture<UVTILE>.tif

no you need to type those letters in there and during render vray will pick up appropriate textures for uv tiles.

it was me who thought I should include <udim> in my file name. Absolutely stupid now when I think about it. but thank you for your help. it works perfekt. Thanks
