We will give the new build a try on Monday and compare generation times. If it is still slow we will package up a scene where we experience the slow downs.

we've sped up the export in the latest nightly build but I have some concerns that this won't fix the reflection issue from your previous post.
We know what's causing this now but fixing the root cause will take a bit of time.

Could you please give it a shot on your end, e.g. like this:

GoodbyeKansas , that would be very much appreciated - as always, if you hit an issue, please don't hesitate to ping us and mail us anything that could help.

      Best regards!
      Hi,

Due to dealines only got around to fully test this today.

Tested the same HDA export times in awe 21 frames sequence.
Test 1 was hda* ^driver* ^ABCCACHE*, test 2 was hda*, and test 3 was only the geometry inside the hda. The rest of the scene was 1 light and 1 camera.

      Using VFH: 2020-08-18:
      1 - 5:36
      2 - 5:40
      3 - 0:04

      Using VFH: 2020-08-31:
      1 - 2:26
      2 - 2:35
      3 - 0:04

Two and a half minutes sounds good, but far from it, it's still a 38x increase. Since we bumped into vrayscenes that were hitting 10 hours, this 50% drop is far from enough, since it should only take like 10 minutes.
When you say "fixing the root problem" about the other issue with the reflections, will that root problem also fix the vrayscene creation time? Or there are still issues from your side identifing the cause of the issue?

      Best,
      David.
