  • (Resolved) Noob question. Scatter lights to points.

    Hi guys, I'm really having difficulty figuring this one out,

    lights live in the OBj level, but how can i scatter them to points that live inside a geo?

    Hey,

    Just use an "instance" node. Merge your points into the instance node and use the light as the instance source.

      Thank you i did this inside the instancer.. is that correct?

        Hi,

        No need to copy more points to it again. What's coming from your "../../torus1/lights"? Poligons, points? You can use them straight away. Even geometry, because it has points too.
        Just make sure you set the instance node to "Full Point Instancing" or "Fast Point instacing" to see it in the viewport. Even with the Point instancing set to "Off", they will render.
