  • (Resolved) Noob question - Material libraries for Houdini Vray?

    Hello,

    are there any commercially or non collercially availabel preset material libraries available anywhere?

    at the moment i am making my own.. but there must be a faster route...

    like is there a way to get these into Houdini?

    With V-Ray 5 we ship a V-Ray Material Library /same which is in 3dsmax/.

    As to other sources if they do not offer materials especially for V-Ray in Houdini than the only way is to export the material as vrscene and import it in Houdini through vrscene SOP. But there might be operators/nodes which are no supported in VfH so it might not work 100 %
