These documents are no longer live on the website and the archived version is actually a GDrive project folder of the website. Is it possible to keep these live on the website?

Hey Dan,
Moving forward we decided to only keep a copy of the documentation of the latest V-Ray release. Over the last few years it became clear that hosting multiple versions of the docs adds a lot of redundancy for little benefit for our technical writers team so a decision was made to archive the old documentation and provide it in html.
I am wondering why is it that the latest documentation is not usable for you? A few hidden parameters in the Render Settings aside, the major difference is a few extra options on some of the nodes only - everything else is the same. I'm asking so we can try to brainstorm a solution that works both for people on V-Ray Next and V-Ray 5.
Thank you!

Hi Gosho,
I think it was more that I wasn't sure if teh docs were accurate for the version I am using. I was using the Beta but since the other artist I am working was was still on Next I had to roll back.
That makes sense overall, although possibly keeping previous version would be preferable. As I was troubleshooting some issues I had with my passes I wanted to be absolutely sure I was following the correct documentation for all my options.
Since Vray 5 is still Beta for Houdini it might be a little early to archive the Vray Next docs? Maybe anything in the docs different from previous version could be highlighted?

Hey thexdan ,
I suppose highlighting the new parameters is an option. I'll log it for the Documentation team to decide the best course of action and update you once a decision has been made.
However, bringing in the hidden parameters from V-Ray Next (those were mostly on the Renderer itself) is likely not an option at this point - I hope this is not a major hindrance.
Best regards!
