  • One triplanar for multiple ImageFiles

    Hello!
I'm coming from 3dsMax and I'm wondering if in Houdini there's the option to use one triplanar node to map multiple ImageFile nodes like we have in 3dsMax.

I'm trying to make the switch to houdini but I'm finding the Vray for houdini documentation is very poor and lack of examples.
It would be great if we can see some screen shots of node layout for some operations to make things more clear...

There is a Triplanar node with inputs per-axis.

The only way to use "one triplanar" with many ImageFiles is to reference copy it. RMB over V-Ray Triplanar > Actions > Create Reference Copy, this way all copies will share same settings, but different inputs.

Yes, thanks Georgy, thats what I wanted.
But I still wonder... if we have an uwgen input in the image file node why does not exist the possibility to feed this input with the uvs from the triplanar node like we can do in max.
        Is it that complicated?

Your method is perfectly fine for me but is just that I find the other way more "elegant".
