  • Geometry attributes in shaders, support for packed Alembics

    Hi,

    Packed Alembics seem not supported for geometry attributes in shaders, it would be great if this gets in. Otherwise, only on unpacked geometry, it's a very limited use case.

    We support arbitrary data channels in Alembic files.
    You could use "ply2vrmesh -info" to check which attributes got recognized by V-Ray.
    Which particular geometry attributes are you talking about? Strings?

      Yes, a string that i used as part of the filename like it says in the docs, works but only on unpacked geometry
