Hi guys got a large scene with a lot of scatter instanced objects . currently caching to bgeo. the vrscene creations takes a bit of time. is there a way to convert all the scatter object to vrmesh? what is the best workflow for rendering instanced objects in houdini with vray ?

best way to read scatter objects from disk ?

The geometry you will be scattering you can save to Alembic, and then you can use copy to points or the instance object to scatter to your points. The points will go to the vrscene, and they will point to the alembics. Make sure you turn on rayserver instancer, to make the vrscene smaller.Hristo Velev
