Hi,
When rendering hair, it seems like the width object parameter only assigns width when it's missing from the geometry. When rendering alembic grooms however, which already have width assigned, that gives you no control over the width after the alembic is written - if you want to adjust it, you need to rebake the whole alembic, takes 17 min in my test shot.
What would be great would be that the width parameter creates the value if it's absent, or multiplies it if it's present. This way you get more control when rendering, and less rebakes
Thanks!
