  • Distorting texture user colour like IDistort or STmap ( like Nuke)

    Hi guys
    It’s an open question,
I have a user Attribute that I’m trying to use as a map (userColor), but it is kind of low resolution,
I would like to distort it in render time to get some nice shape out of it and make it look clean and high res, if I was doing this in nuke, I would use STmap or IDistort and a driven by a noise texture.

I thought about using a cop network in the vrayMaterialBuilder but the network seems to be disabled.

Is there any way to do that in V-ray? Is there a layer tex transformation math node?

Do you have UVs on the object? if so you could bake the attrib to a texture then use domain distortion. I can’t think of another way without the bake step. The only other thing I can think of is if you could recreate your user attributes in an OSL shader. Then you could distort that easily enough.
