  • How to set a Primary and a Secondary render engine?

First time posting. Fairly new to rendering with Houdini and especially Vray in Houdini.

I can't seem to find information on setting up a secondary render engine. I have V-Ray Renderer node in the out context. Under the Renderer Tab> Global Illumination Tab, there's a dropdown to pick an engine, but I don't see where to pick a secondary engine. The docs say it's possible but I'm at a loss.

    Thanks for your time.

    Found it....Should have guessed.

Just to button this up.....The controls for secondary engine are hidden by default. Edit parameter interface > tick "Show Invisible Parameters" > Search for what you're missing in the GI tab and untick "Invisible" on Primary Bounces and accociated controls.

      Hey cavedog ,

With V-Ray 5, we decided to disable the primary engine controls and default them to Brute Force. The GI Engine control you see in the UI by default actually controls the secondary engine, with the options being either Brute Force or Light Cache.

      Best regards!
